Vutsapp is built for Yidden by a Yid. We never sell your data, run commercial advertising networks, or harvest your personal chats. All privacy boundaries and protections are built directly into the system's core data security foundation.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with secure communication services, we collect:
- Account Identifiers: Phone number or linked OAuth identifier (Google / Apple) used for secure authentication.
- Profile Information: English and Hebrew display names, status message, and profile avatar (subject to your tzniut visibility settings).
- Contacts: If granted, hashed phone numbers to identify mutual contacts. We enforce mutual-contact gates before rich media can be downloaded.
- Messages & Media: Messages in transit. Encrypted media attachments are stored via private pre-signed Cloudflare/B2 storage.
2. Guaranteed Halachic Privacy & Protection
In Vutsapp, privacy controls such as same-gender status visibility, mutual-contact restrictions, and user blocking are enforced directly at the core data level. This ensures that unauthorized requests can never access protected messages or updates.
3. Free SMS Delivery
When you send an SMS to a phone number that is not registered on Vutsapp, the message content and recipient number are relayed through our carrier SMS gateway solely for message delivery.
4. Zero Third-Party Advertising
We do not display ads, do not include third-party advertising tracking SDKs, and do not profile users for commercial marketing.
