Community Rules & Code of Conduct

Mandatory standards of conduct, halachic decorum, and acceptable use required for all Vutsapp accounts. Agreement to these rules is an absolute prerequisite to registration.

The Sacred Nature of our Kehilla

Vutsapp was founded with a singular mission: to provide a protected, kosher, dignified sanctuary for the Jewish community to communicate, learn, organize, and conduct business. Membership is a privilege conditioned upon honoring our shared Torah values, kedusha, and menschlichkeit.

By creating an account, logging in, or continuing to use Vutsapp, you solemnly affirm and contract that you will adhere strictly to every rule enumerated below.

1

Observance of Shabbat & Yom Tov שמירת שבת ויום טוב

All registered users must be Shomer Shabbos and Shomer Yom Tov. Vutsapp is dedicated to the holiness of the Jewish Sabbath and Festivals:

  • Zero Activity on Shabbat/Chag: You agree never to send messages, forward media, post status updates, place calls, schedule automated broadcasts, or engage in any platform activity from candle lighting until Havdalah according to halacha.
  • Respect for Global Time Zones: When communicating in groups or with contacts in different time zones (e.g., Israel, Europe, North America), users must scrupulously respect the local Sabbath window of the recipients.
  • Immediate Termination for Desecration: Deliberate or unrepentant chillul Shabbos on Vutsapp constitutes an egregious breach of our communal covenant and will result in the immediate and permanent deactivation of your account.
2

Kedusha & Halachic Tzniut (Modesty) קדושה וצניעות

Vutsapp maintains an uncompromising standard of purity in all visual and written content:

  • Modest Visuals: All profile pictures, avatars, status updates, shared videos, stickers, and image attachments must fully conform to halachic tzniut. No immodest, provocative, or revealing attire is permitted.
  • No Vulgarity or Obscenity: Zero tolerance for coarse language, profanity, inappropriate slang, suggestive humor, or double entendres.
  • Clean Media Only: The transmission or linking of inappropriate secular media, unapproved adult content, gambling, or materials contrary to Torah ethos is strictly prohibited.
  • Gender Privacy: Users must respect platform gender-visibility boundaries and settings configured by community channels and individuals.
3

Shmiras Halashon & Menschlichkeit שמירת הלשון ומידות טובות

Speech is sacred. Every member is held strictly accountable to the laws of Shmiras Halashon codified by the Chofetz Chaim:

  • Strict Prohibition of Evil Speech: No Lashon Hara (derogatory speech), Motzi Shem Ra (slander, lies, or fabricated rumors), or Rechilus (tale-bearing).
  • No Harassment or Ona'at Devarim: Users shall not engage in bullying, public shaming, mocking, name-calling, intimidation, or interpersonal cruelty.
  • No Doxxing or Mobbing: Publishing private information, instigating community boycotts, or carrying out digital smear campaigns is grounds for immediate expulsion.
  • Darkei Noam: All interactions—even during disputes or disagreements—must be conducted with dignified menschlichkeit and mutual respect.
4

Commercial Integrity & Truth in Dealing משא ומתן באמונה

All economic and commercial activity on Vutsapp (Marketplace, Classifieds, Job Boards, Services, and Business Profiles) must conform to Choshen Mishpat:

  • Honesty in Transactions: Accurate descriptions, fair dealing, and prompt fulfillment. Counterfeit goods, predatory schemes, and deceitful practices are prohibited.
  • Authentic Solicitations Only: Deceptive tzedakah campaigns, fake charitable appeals, unauthorized raffle spam, or unverified fundraising links will be removed immediately.
  • Anti-Spam: Automated mass marketing, bulk cold messaging, or harvesting phone numbers from community channels without permission is strictly banned.
5

Respect for Communal Gederim & Authority גדרים וסייגים

To protect our schools, yeshivos, shuls, and neighborhood networks:

  • Adherence to Group Policies: Users must abide by specific rules, guidelines, and admittance criteria established by local shul and community administrators.
  • No Circumvention: Any attempt to circumvent mutual-contact gates, bypass user blocks, exploit technical vulnerabilities, or spoof identities will result in device-level bans.
Unconditional Right of Account Termination & Disconnection

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Agreement to these Community Rules is a non-negotiable term of your registration and ongoing license to access Vutsapp.

The Vutsapp administration, moderation team, and designated rabbinic trustees reserve the absolute, unilateral, and unconditional authority to suspend, restrict, disconnect, or permanently delete the account of any user who violates any of these rules, acts contrary to halachic principles, compromises community kedusha, or behaves in a manner detrimental to the spiritual well-being of the kehilla.

Account terminations under this policy may be executed immediately and without prior notice. All moderation decisions are final, and Vutsapp incurs no legal liability, damages, or claims arising from the termination or restriction of accounts in enforcement of these rules.
